This Award is not a prize to the winner of a competition but it is a symbol of three things together ... it is a recognition of the personal commitment of Mr. Beppe Grillo and the collective one of all those who are active in the M5S, - a positive information, reporting an excellence, addressed to the global network of nonviolent activists (for those who still do not know the M5S)
- a message of encouragement to continue on the path of non-violence and an offer of support and collaboration on strategy, contents and constructive projects of the 5 Stars Movement
All this is condensed in a small sandalwood statue ... the work of an Indian sculptor, which represents Mahatma Gandhi on March 12, 1930, when he was about to move the first step of the famous 'Salt March' (Salt Satyagraha) perhaps the most famous action of the civil disobedience campaign that involved the participation of millions of Indian citizens, and ended with the end of the domination of the British Empire and and the celebration of the Sovereignty and Independence of the Indian people.
